The Artist

TRICIA SKOGLUND

Tricia Skoglund was born in San Diego California and lived in Salem Oregon for 30 plus years, before returning to San Diego in 2005. Tricia works predominantly in mixed media and incorporates many different elements and textiles into her work. Every piece of her work is a very distinct homage to her time spent in San Diego by the ocean and in Oregon close to farms and nature. Tricia has studied under several prominent artists in several different mediums throughout her 50+ years as an artist. She has had solo shows in several states and is currently showing in galleries along the west coast.

Tricia now lives and works in both San Diego California and Bend Oregon. With her husband of 47 years she enjoys every minute she gets to spend with her two granddaughters and grandson.

THE ARTIST

Tricia Skoglund has been creating her current type of color-rich metal artworks since 2005. Her work incorporates a wide variety of mediums, textures and shapes, which can be attributed to her unique torch-cutting style.

Many of her works include a treated rust patina, which also makes them well suited for hanging outdoors.
